The 24-year-old centre-back joins Villa for an undisclosed fee to become the club’s eighth summer arrival. Engels spent five years with Club Brugge in his native Belgium and switched to Olympiacos in Greece in 2017 before joining Reims, where he made 33 Ligue 1 appearances in 2018/19.
