Team news: Reina to make debut against Brighton

Dean Smith has named his starting XI for today’s Premier League match against Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Aston Villa manager has opted to hand a debut to goalkeeper Pepe Reina, who replaces Ørjan Nyland between the sticks.

The Spaniard has three golden gloves to his name from his time at Liverpool, where he accrued 134 clean sheets in 285 Premier League games for the Reds.

Jack Grealish has scored in his last three appearances against the Seagulls and the midfielder will be hoping to extend that run as he skippers the side this afternoon.

Elsewhere, Matt Targett returns from injury in defence and Frederic GuilbertMarvelous Nakamba and Trezeguet also come into the team.
